Find the feature in the installed client
Open the Web Interface preferences if your build includes them. Review the enable control, listening port, template path, session timeout and account options. The browser interface depends on the running client and a usable template; it is not a separate public download website.
The documented default web port is 4711, but use the value shown in your installation. This is a different service from the TCP and UDP ports used for peer discovery and file transfers. Changing it does not repair Low ID.
Set access deliberately before enabling it
Choose a strong, unique administrator password. The official documentation warns that access without a proper administrator password can allow another person to change settings or add and delete transfers. There is no useful reason to leave that decision until after exposing the interface.
Leave guest access disabled unless you need a separate view-only login. If enabled, set its own password and check its permissions. Keep powerful options such as quitting the client or shutting down the computer disabled unless they serve a deliberate purpose.
Test on the same computer
With the feature enabled and the client running, open http://127.0.0.1:4711 in a browser, replacing 4711 if you selected another port. This loopback address refers to the same computer as the browser.
Confirm that the expected login page appears, sign in and inspect a harmless status view. If the page cannot load, check the running process, configured port and template path before changing router settings. An invalid template path is a different problem from a blocked network connection.
Use the computer's LAN address from another home device
On another device connected to your trusted home network, use the eMule computer's actual local address and the selected port. For example, http://192.168.1.50:4711 is an illustrative private-network address, not a value to copy unless it belongs to that computer.
A loopback address on a phone points to the phone itself, not to the Windows PC. If local testing works but a second device cannot connect, verify the address and the intended private-network firewall rule. Keep access limited to the network and devices you mean to trust.
Keep internet access a separate decision
The documented interface uses HTTP examples. A password does not turn an HTTP connection into an encrypted one. Changing the port number also does not provide encryption or make the administration service private.
For this home-network setup, do not add a public router forwarding rule for the web port. Access from outside the home requires a separately designed, authenticated and encrypted path, such as an existing trusted VPN into the home network. Verify its access boundaries instead of assuming any forwarded port is safe.
Finish by checking permissions and turning off unused access
Use a non-zero session timeout, test the difference between any enabled accounts, and sign out when finished. Changes made through an administrator session affect the real client. Keep backups of important settings and disable Web Interface if you stop using remote control.
For connection problems in ordinary transfers, return to the file-sharing ports guide; the management interface has its own purpose and access requirements.
